I decided to participate Project Simplify 2012: Week 1, so I had an opportunity to clean and to organize my son's stuff this past few days ago. I am sharing a few pictures shown below of what I have been taking care of his bedroom.
Here are before pictures of Nolan's bedroom, which I took last Monday. Here was what Nolan's closet looks like:

Since he still loves to cuddle with his stuff animals, everytime he wants to find his favorite stuffed animals, he would rummage through his closet to find it. That was the reason why it looks quite a clutter in his closet. Oh boy.
Of course, notice that there are still some baby clothes in his closet! My plan is to pack them in a box!
Here is what his closet looks like today...

The reason why I left a space inside that closet is to have a place for him to put his suitcase in that space provided after he is done spending his time with his dad.
And here is a before picture of his unorganized dresser.

While I was organizing and purging his cherry wooden dresser, I could not believe that he still had some cloths, clothes, under garments, and socks, which would fit on babies. I also found a few books that fit with toddlers, who are learning numbers and words.
Of course, my plan is to pack them in a box.
Now that he is able to read books that contain sentences and paragraphs. He is surely growing up!

I put three piles of books and magazines. First pile of Star Wars books that are complex to read. He will read them when time is right.
The second pile of books that are picture books of Book of Mormon, Doctrine of Covenants, New Testament, and Old Testament.
And the third pile is all these magazines entitled Friend that he received in the mail.
Here are his worn out backpacks... Sorenson Video Relay Service (SVRS) and Cars shown below:

That Cars backpack was his very first backpack, he used at preschool. Of course I purged them out of his bedroom.
Speaking of shoes, I cannot believe that they had been in his closet for years! They are no longer fit him.

So, they are purged out of his bedroom except the small black and white orthopedic splints that has a line of horses on straps, which I plan to keep.
Again - it is hard to believe that these shoes with worn out soles had been in closets for years. They are being removed from his bedroom.

Here are shoes with worn out soles.

In addition, I was unable to fully complete his bedroom due to my forearm ache, which I am experiencing yesterday and today. I am taking care of myself and hopefully that it gets better soon.
After I am done showing you these pictures of his before and after pictures of his bedroom, I look foward to move on to Project Simplify 2012: Week 2 to organize either my kitchen or pantry.
